February 2010: My 28th Birthday.... I made my own cake! It was kind of my birthday gift to myself. This is my first attempt at fondant and gum paste! I really enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't very difficult. This is a strawberry cake with butter cream crumb coat, homemade fondant base, tree and rope border with gum paste flowers dusted with petal dust.
